Images of the old style threshing event held in celebration of the Abbey opening. John Butler of Beakstown allowed his oat crop to be cut by the traditional reaper and binder operated by Jim Cormack and John Flanagan both Galbertstown. Harry Langley (Horse and Jockey) and Patrick Flanagan (Galbertstown) provided the mill and Ossie Bennet of Stradbally Co. Laois brought his two steam engines and a barrell organ.
